Catching Up! Busy Summer!

I know it has been a long time! Sorry for any of you who still follow the blog for Cullan updates. He is my little buddy :) He will be 2 next month! This past month is favorites are Nemo (Nomo as he calls it), Tangled and Aladdin. He loves sitting down to his Movie. Loves Swimming and Doggies! He can say everyone in the family name and is now putting together sentences. Like "I want_____" "Lets Walk" "I want More". Everyday he is saying new words and he copies EVERYTHING i do. Including getting dressed next to me in the mirror.

Chris Graduated from FLETC and has started his 2nd year in Afghanistan. I am still working part time but have moved positions and I am now on the accounting side at Stewart and no longer doing Automation. Which to be honest i am Much happier in this postition. We have been busy with seeing Chris over the summer, family functions, Kids Parties and play dates.

Cullan will be getting re-circumcised. He is going to Texas Children's on Sept 1st and will be going under and receiving stitches. I will have Carol there with us. The doc who circumsized him it at birth really messed it up. It needs to be corrected. He should be feeling much better by his big Curious George Birthday party on the 10th of September.

Cullan is 19 months old Tomorrow!! He tells the best stories (if anyone could understand what he was saying) and laughs all the time. He is the busies child i think i have ever seen. Chris took me to St thomas for our 3 year Anniversary which is this coming Tuesday and we had an AMAZING time. I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures from the trip. I miss my husband every day but I am so proud of him. We are looking forward to this next chapter after his big promotion. Sorry for those who follow my blog for falling behind I hope your still out there watching our favorite little man grow along with us!

Chris is Home Again!!

We have had a Ball since Chris got back home. We had McKinney wedding, Zoo, Houston Rodeo... Fun Packed weekend. I also got 2 pictures from Carol of when they picked Chris up at the airport with cullan. Since i was in the Wedding I was staying with the bride and they had Cullan for the weekend.

Chris flies in Saturday the 5th and I cant wait to see him. We are going to the Rodeo to see Lady Antabellum for a date night. My good friend McKinney is getting Married on the 5th and I get to take my husband as my date to her wedding. I am honored to be a bridesmaid in my 5th wedding :) Then Chris and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary a bit early with a trip to St Thomas. He will return to Kabul March 24th!

Cold Days and Precious Moments

It is a Mighty Cold day here in Houston Texas! I have to say I had to pull out my Maryland Bin which didn't have very much in it just a few scarves and gloves which will do. Cullan is bundled up in about 3 layers and the thickest socks i could find ready to go off to daycare.

Cullan Loves tub time. That has Never changed. So now when he is ready he pulls the drain and sits while the water runs out. last night he decided he was going to lay down after the water drained all the way down. So... Here he is in his sleeping position. Cullan sleeps like a frog, knees tucked up underneath him and his arms tucked underneath him. Butt in the air laying on his face. So See picture below of Cullan taking a rest in the tub. We were both laughing hysterically! I had to post this picture because since moving to Houston i work on redecorating from time to time. I have been adding and updating our decor since we have a new couch and new futon cover and curtains. Really loving the blue and browns. Well i stumbled on the perfect pillow for the futon so here is a picture of Cullan sitting on my new pillow. Him and Maddie both wont get off of it which I am the type of person to buy things that can be "lived on" but they both just have to sit on it!!!! This is the first time Cullan has actually posed for a picture! I had the camera and he sat down and smiled waiting for me to take his picture. I cant talk on the phone to anyone without being followed by Cullan saying "dadadada Dadadadadadada dada dada dadadada da" Over and over until i hand him the phone and he gets to say "Hi". He loves to skype with Daddy and sometimes he just laughs and babbles telling such stories to Chris on the phone. Other times he just wants to push buttons! Chris is doing well. It is pretty cold over there and lots of rain today. He is looking forward to his next R&R. I know how hard it is to watch Cullan through Skype and video but he wakes up to a cute picture with a funny story attached on his email most every day. When he comes home in march we are looking forward to our Friends Mark and Mckinney Wedding which I am a bridesmaid in. We will take Cullan out the the Livestock show at the Rodeo and then Chris and I are going to see Lady Antebellum at the Rodeo. We will be ending the Month with a 3 day trip to St. Thomas just my Hubby and me for our 3rd Anniversary.

Cullan and his Best Friend Chance

I took Cullan to Chuck e cheese this weekend and he LOVED it! He had such a blast playing with his friend Ellie. We hung out with our besties Kim and Chance this weekend too. I am such a proud Momma with such a sweet boy. He does Hit from time to time which i am working on. He just hits Maddie mostly but sometimes me when he is mad. It is getting under control mostly. he also plays 9o miles an hour like he always does. He also says a few words in Spanish!

I know it has been a while since i have posted. Sorry i fell behind with the Holidays. Cullan had his 16 month checkup and shots. He is 24.4 pounds and 32 inches. He has 6 plus words including a spanish word he learned from Daycare. Vanessa is Columbian and says something that resembles what Cullan says "BaYa" which means something like "lets go lets do something different". Vanessa tells me the exact way to pronounce but I still dont understand what she is saying or how it would be spelled. His new thing is i sit down and put my arms out and say come hug Momma and he comes running full speed and throws his arms around me :) Best feeling in the world. Most recently he had Croup and that scared the crud out of me when the frog noise came out of his mouth.

I am just going to post a handful of pictures of my favorite moments rounding out the year and into the new year. We had a WONDERFUL christmas and spent New Years Eve in Lufkin with the Durham Family (my "sister"). Cullan and i still go to the playground to swing when the weather is nice and he still LOVES shrek of course. He got a new chair for Christmas that he just LOVES to sit in :)
